Independent Project Idea
My idea for my project deals with the idea of consumption, over-consumption, and greed. The project will be mixed media including collage, video, and animation. This will use digital images, scanned images/material, and digital video. Also, the visual will be complemented by audio playing with the idea of layers. Another theme throughout the project will be the contrast between calm and hectic moods. These moods will be conveyed through both visual and audio elements. Visually, the themes will be fairly abstract. The final project will be a Quicktime video. Currently, I am still working out using a masking feature in imovie 08' that allows the layering of still images and video. By next week I will shoot footage, collect materials for scanning, and begin work on the project for presentation.
